Jack is TWO!!

I'm baaaack! I think the last time I was on here, I was just a baby. Okay, I was 18 months old, but so much has changed in the last six months! I've done a lot of cool stuff, like dress up for Halloween, eat turkey and ham on Thanksgiving, get presents from Santa at Christmas and have a digger-themed birthday party. First I'll update you on my milestones, and then I'll tell you about my adventures.

Momma and Daddy keep telling me I'm a parrot because I can say anything. I can almost have a real conversation and I never stop talking. I am speaking in 3-4 word sentences, and my first "real" sentence (besides stuff like 'cup fall down', 'jack do it', and 'daddy doing?') was "I don't like that" in reference to my daddy trying to tickle me.

I am still a really picky eater- I will eat meat, bread, some fruit, baked beans, sweet potato fries and pizza, but absolutely no vegetables! I think this drives my parents crazy. Sometimes I won't eat a thing at dinner and then I wake up really early in the morning starving and cranky. I wish I could eat chicken nuggets and french fries for every meal!

I absolutely LOVE to read. Sometimes I'll go in my bedroom and grab a few books and read them to myself. My new favorite book is "Dinosaur Vs."- Roar!! I also have my very own potty, but it kinda freaks me out. I know I'm going to have to use the potty with all the other kids at daycare. Scary! Oh, that reminds me, I started in my new class this week (the 2's). I really miss my old teachers, but I think this new class is going to be tons of fun and full of activity. I also have a big boy bed. Mom and Dad took the side off my crib, and I've only fallen out a couple of times. I love it!

I had to go to the doctor for a well visit- here are my stats:
Height- 34 inches (60%)
Weight- 30 lbs (63%)
Head Circumfrence- 20 inches (93%!)

The doctor says everything looks good and he was amazed at how well I talked. I have to start taking a multi-vitamin because am such a picky eater, but that's it. And there were no shots- hooray!

On to my adventures. There were so many, I'll just quickly sum it up, and show you a picture or two.

I met my Aunt Callie for the first time. She lives in Texas now, and I hope we can go visit her soon.

For Halloween I got to go to a pumpkin patch, carve and paint pumpkins, and dress up as a train engineer. We had a party and parade at daycare and I got to go trick-or-treating at my doctors office.

My mom started taking me to story time at the library on Mondays and Tuesdays. I LOVE it. One is at the library in Liberty and TONS of kids go and we sing songs and ring bells and play with a parachute and make crafts. The other is only about 2 minutes from our house on N. Antioch and only about 4 kids go, so it's nice and quiet.

For Thanksgiving, we went to Grammy's house in Emporia. She made ham and turkey and mashed potatoes and green bean casserole and corn casserole and it was all delicious. Oh who am I kidding, I only ate a bite of ham and turkey and a roll. But I heard everything else was good!

I went to Union Station to look at the trains three times and eat at Fritz's twice. I hope we can make this a tradition every year.

I saw Santa a couple of times, but he's scary. I guess you are supposed to sit on his lap to tell him what you want for Christmas; maybe next year.

And then Christmas happened! I got so many awesome presents and I got to spend time with Grammy, and Nana and Papa, and cousin Taylor and Aunt Heather. We even saw Uncle Matt and Aunt Leigh on the computer opening presents too! Mommy and I did a Christmas countdown calendar- I opened a box every day for a special surprise until Christmas. I hope we get to do it again next year.

And then I had my birthday party! Mommy and Daddy got me a bike!!! I can't believe it. I kept telling them I wanted a bike (can you believe I used to call them go-gos???). Mommy also made an awesome cake with a digger on top and candy all over it. It was the best cake ever.

I guess that's it for the last 6 months. I think we've got a few things coming up. I've heard Mom and Dad say something about a Superbowl Party, and I know I'm going on vacation to Branson with my friend AJ and his mom Becky and dad Stephen. There's an indoor water park at the hotel and a show with animals doing tricks. I think it sounds like fun.

I guess that's everything. I can't wait for it to warm up so I can play and ride my bike outside. Talk to you again soon!
